GOVENANCE
As the Member owned Non-profit shearing, Non – Governmental Organization (NGO), MSN has to conduct the Annual General Meeting (AGM) for the governance of the organization.
After the termination of the fourth HDI projects undertaken by FAO the staff from the projects formed MSN organization in 2001 with the intention to continue support to the previous project beneficiaries and explore new areas for community development and environmental conservation.
MSN, with the legal registration under the partnership act 1954 undertook various projects with support of UNDP, JICA, FAO, UNOPS and other Donors till 2011.
On 14th of March, 2011, MSN was registered as a non-government organization (Non-profit NGO) under Myanmar organizational law 1988 with the Ministry of Home Affairs.
On 2012 AGM, MSN formed as the Member Owned Non-profit sharing NGO Organization and elect the Governing Board Members and prepare the Organization Constitution, Book of Procedures and Strategic Plan later on.
On 2013 AGM, MSN elected the vacant posts of MSN Governing Board members.
On 2014 AGM, MSN members elected the new governing board members to steering the MSN activities for 2 years period (2014 – 2016). Code of Conduct for all MSN staffs and the MSN Child Policy were also discussed and approved.
MSN, as a local Non-governmental Organization, working in collaboration with Government and UN agencies, Local & International NGOs, local communities, provides services in environment conservation, sustainable livelihoods and community development activities that particularly benefits and addresses the needs of marginalized population of rural grassroots communities in Myanmar.
